Mazda RX8 is it worth it?
I'm looking at purchasing a new car and I came across this one. If you don't want to click on the link it says "It smokes a little when driving."
My question is what could this be from? I'm thinking about getting it if its an easy fix but if its going to cost me a lot I wont. thanks!

Possibilities:
- A coolant seal has failed, and the smoke is burning coolant. This requires an engine rebuild
- The engine was overheated and a housing warped, making the coolant seal ineffective, and it's burning coolant. This requires an engine replacement (basically can't re-use much from the old engine to call it a rebuild)
- There is no catalytic converter on the car and it is normal exhaust smoke
- There is a fuel injector leak that dumps fuel into the exhaust that smokes for a while (fairly simple fix)
- There is an oil control ring failure and it is extra oil that is being leaked in
- There is a significant amount of premix in the tank, enough that the oil burn smoke is visible
- Nothing is wrong.
At $5k though, even if you need to replace the engine, it's probably a decent price. Just don't expect to get a fantastic car. It will need work. You may get lucky and they just don't know that there is a simple fix, but most 8's priced this low turn out to need extensive repairs.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
If you have money to spend on fixing it, then do it. If i were you, just save your hard earned money and find another one with no problems and be done with it.
