Lost a couple 05's...

So, inspiried by stories of $8000 off MSRP on 05's, i've been scrubbing the country looking for an 05 configured as i'd like to purchase...

GT,NAV,Black on Black, ApPckg, Spoiler

Gateway Mazda: Frank - Seemed nice, wanted to move quick(common, i know), got a good shipping deal for me from Auroura Colorado to Chicago Illinois. I immediately hit him with "My local guy is selling off his 05's at 7K below MSRP...". He flinched a bit and said he couldn't see his manager ok'ing anything like that, but was confident he could get me a car at 5K off MSRP. We chatted a bit about what a great deal 7K was, that he liked the RX8 and thought it was a great car, and parted ways kindly, he was polite.

McNeil Mazda: Female Saleswoman - She called me a few days(too long) after my inital inquiry. I told her what i was looking for, she said she'd do some footwork and call me back. No call back over the weekend, or monday...she calls tuesday(too long...this ended up burning me a bit). What was it you were looking for? I tell her AGAIN, and mention i have the VIN of the car on the lot, if she'd like it. She then asks if that was my only interest, and that they have deals on other RX8's and Mazda's, because the car i wanted was sold the previous day! Sad.

This is starting to tire me...guess it's back to waiting for the 2006.

There's a couple of BB's at Hamilton Mazda in NJ that might suit what you are looking for. Don't know what price they will negotiate. Here's the VIN: JM1FE173950153937

If you call them, ask for Frank "Rocky" Graziano. He's a good guy, and sold me my Shinka. Rocky told me that his boss ordered a ton of RX8's last year, so they have lots.

as Jedi and some other fellow members can atest to, Brilliant Black + GMT + Navi is a bitch of a combo to try to find in the U.S., which is why a lot of us had to custom order ours. if u do happen find one that comes close to this, i would jump on it...

Be patient and get the color + options that you really want. Find a good price, but if it's only a few hundred more than your rock-bottom, go for it. Just get what you want. ...and enjoy!

Hey guys,
How hard will it be to find an 05 silver with any package level. (cheaper is better). Tampa area. DH would just like silver in AT. Of course, I'd go for the manual, but it won't be my car. BOO WHOOOOO!

i cant really comment on the difficulty to find such a car in tampa, but just make sure you read the waiver at the dealer about the disadvantages of the color silver.
