Leasing and maintenance?
Does anyone know if a standard Mazda lease require maintenance based on the manufacturer's schedule? I don't plan on keeping this car past next year when the 3 yr mark on my lease runs up, but I just rolled past 30k miles recently and am balking at paying $450 for the service. Everyone I ask states that the fluid exchanges (brake fluid, manual trans. fluid swap) are preventative except the actual oil change, so that's all I did, but I don't want to pay a lot on the back end if maintenance is required. I checked the agreement and its pretty vague, anyone have any experience in turning in their car? Thanks.

In general, you should have proof that you did the required maintenance. Otherwise, you may be subject to charges when you turn the car in. I suspect that how closely this is checked may vary from place to place.
