Kill or Steal ? Shinka RX-8 Price

I got the base model of Shinka with "NO OPTIONS" on it.

for 30,400

So its 125 below invoice.

and I have 2K rebates.

Heres the run down :

Price +30400.00
Tax + 2546.00
NYS Waste Tire Fee + 12.50
Registration Fee (Estimate) + 200.00
N.Y.S INspection Fee + 10.00
Dealer's optional fee + 45.00
Total Cash price delivered = 33213.50
Rebate - 1000.00
MAC Rebate - 1000.00

Total so far = 31213.50

and I got the Gerber REbate ! thats another 500 dollars hahaha !

Need to bring it in tomorrow. :-D

Hmm, is the price good? btw.

I think it is very good. Contrats! Did you buy it or lease it? What are those 2K in rebates? From Mazda or the dealer? Last question, what's the MAC rebate?

I thought the Shinka was a limited edition model that came with everything, kind of like the flagship of the RX-8's. I wasn't aware that you could get a stripped one. It doesn't really have the prestige of being a limited edition if it is a bare bones model. But hey, to each his own. Congratulations on your purchase.

Well, GT Package comes standard on Shinka. The Shinka I got has no other options. Just Plain Shinka that is.

I finance my Shinka thru MAC *= Buying it*

the MAC stands for Mazda America Credit. and theres another Rebate going on, total is 2 K

man, what pissed me off the most is that, I tried to get insurance from Geico yesterday, and I was being too "honest" to them, they just dont want to insure me anymore.
(The problem was that I did too many online quoting and try to see what diff options do)

Anyway, Im gonna get Progressive Insurance, since I know what options will affect my insurance rate from Geico already.

too bad I cant get the car today cuz Im gonna go a road trip wont be back till monday or so.

At last, Thx guys ! Will post some pics up as soon as I get the car on monday.

Geico has funny commercials, but other than that I have no use for them. I've had Progressive and now Nationwide and I am happy with them. I used to have State Farm but they dropped me when I wrecked my car.

So this is news to me that MAC is giving a $1000 rebate on purchases as well. I thought it was only on the leases.

I dont know what my dealer did but they fixed up the "problems" with Geico. and got me some unbelievable Low rates ...

Forgot to ask them did they get full coverage or not. I'll find out tomorrow (I can always add it later, anyway)

I will go pick my car up early tomorrow. Wish me Luck ! (Pic post later)

Shinka base model is a GT, you can optionally add Spoiler, Ground Effects / body kit and NAV system.

Actually, you can't add the Navi. Kinda pisses me off. I got a Shinka too and was confused about this. They make a Limited Edition model of an already great car, and make it impossible to get one of the coolest options. Not even if you beg them can you get it!!

I don't think it's a dealer installed option either. If it is I'm sure the dealer would not want to do it during the carsale (they want you to sign the dotted line right now!).

mine came up to about $33,400 incl tax/tag/title, but I was upside down on my old vehicle so my loan was actually higher. Take it, man!
