When i was 22 and i sold my Fiero and got my accord, my first six months for insurance was around $420 a month 
$420 a month was because i had 11 points on my record. All from speeding. I got a letter from the state stating that i was in the top 1% of worst drivers in Michigan.
5 years later
Clean record and all
I pay $130 full coverage and all for the RX8

They keep doing it all of your life.
This includes Health insurance when they say they pick up 80% of the bill but use rates that are 10 years old.
It comes out to you paying 35 to 65% of the bill. Very common to pay 50%
