I would expect anything around $3,000 under dearler invoice a fair price on a 2004 RX-8.

Base for $19,999 is about $3,000 cheaper than in FL. The base here is going for $22,999 but it seems EVERYONE is getting a better deal than you can get in FL...poor me...LOL

I'm still hopeing the DEALER get's crazy and calls me up, but if anything I'll just wait until next year.

19,999? Sounds good to me, more than 3,000 off invoice. Great deal if that is down your alley.

Base=AT

Unless I'm mistaken, the base model for the Rx8 is an automatic. I'm surprised so many folks are so eager for one--altho, I agree that the cost is very attractive. That's one reason I bought my auto base last spring.

The AT can be your "show" car and the MT can be your "go" car :D

The cars are not selling and Mazda has been trying to give them away, just at a price

There are plenty of 04's in CA, AZ, NM, just check the inventories or go to the dealers.

Some vehicles in CA have been sitting so long the disc brakes are total rust and batteries
are too dead to start the cars for a test drive.

Been at the dealers and it was a real issue to find any that would start on the lot.
Problem is they are jacking up the price on 04 by $2000 to $5000 above original msrp
and then saying the will give to 1,500 off from mazda + 500 cash back. Its a Scam!
a original $30,100 6sp mt gt is listed at 35k+. After they drop the price they still are above
what some suckers paid in early 2003 ($30,100)

If you can truly find a 'non demo 04' at or below the web posted invoice you will be lucky or the dealer will be desperate.

What do you expect with cast iron rotors? Your perception of RX-8 GT pricing is exactly why I didn't buy one. If you're poor like me, just go with the base 6MT. I got everything I wanted with my zero-option car, and this was back in late 2003.

1. Visit: www.carsdirect.com
2. Visit your dealership and tell them to beat that price.
3. GL!

I paid 24,800 for mine (stock with Navigation)
