HOW much to pay? 2005 GT 27k miles

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ice=&cardist=0

this car is very close. My favorite color is pearl/white. Not a big fan of the two tone interior...but I could live with it. I lke the appearance kit...but would add a spoiler.

lower this car, clear the sidemarkers, and it would be FUN.

my question is - HOW CHEAP you think they woudl sell this for?

I'm one of those on the fence buyers who will wait and lowball until I find the perfect car at the perfect price...trade in on this car is like 13-14k or so... they probably got this as a lease trade in / auction... and paid wholesale...

i'd over then $13-14k and see what happens. NO way i'd pay 20k. $15k might be as high as i'd go. am i on crack or is that doable?

I think 16k is a reasonable deal according to what I found around my area.

If you think that a dealer would EVER offer a car online in as competitive a market as autotrader with $5k in profit you are simply nuts. From the tone of your post, you shold move on to another car. If you could get this from this dealer for $17k I'd be ASTOUNDED. That's not to say that is an unreasonable deal on this car, as that's really the high end of its value- retail, but they simply wouldn't ever ask that much over what they can/will sell it for. teh car business is MUCH more competitive then that these days. IF YOU think that YOU can get this car for 13-14k then keep looking, I think you'll be surprised.

I saw a guy here post that he bought a NEW 2007 GT for 21k and change.... he was out the door for 23k and change..

so if there are 2007s out there that are NEW and will sell for 21k + tax/etc... .then there is no way in hell a 2005 is worth 20k...

a car that is TWO years older, with two years of mileage...should be a lot less. maybe 20-25% less...

that would put it around 15-16k...

i wonder if when the 09s hit the lots if the 08 pricing will take a major dump
