Question How long does it take to get to port?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get to port once a car is "on the water"? I was told yesterday that mine is on the ship. I'm just wondering exactly how long it takes to get to the U.S. I've been told December week 1.

Thanks for any info!

ALWAZL8, I guess ours are parked next to each other on the boat. Today I was told that mine is on the boat. It is expected to come into the US on 11/5, and then it should reach my grubby little hands (here's the bad part) by 12/15. 12/15!!!! That's a month later than it was supposed to be here.

My Sales Manager is going to make some calls to see why the long delay from hitting our shores to hitting my garage. I'll keep ya posted on what, if anything, he finds out.

I WANT MY CAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Zoom44 is there a way for me to find out which is my port?

Thanks to all of you for the info. I was also told 4-6 weeks - from this past Thursday. I plan on emailing Mazda in the next couple of weeks to see if they tell me the same thing. I'll let y'all know what I find out.

Keep me posted if you guys hear something new!!!

It usually takes 3-4 weeks to get to port.....then another three to four from port to dealership. I am just waiting for the dumb trucking co. to get my car to the dealer. Not sure why it takes a month from port to dealer....still waiting on mine. It's been at Michigan port since Sept. 22 and I am in Illinois....and it's now end of October. It better be there this week...my patience is running thin! Hang tough guys......it's a bit of a wait unless you get lucky!!! We all know it's worth it though. Hopr to post that I got my car this upcoming week....stay tuned!!

I had a titanium grey scheduled for dealer delievery the 1st week of Sept. A month later, I was still being given the run around about where my car actually was. I got so fed up with the lack of correct information, i went to a diffrent dealer in Kansas Cirty and bought my car.

Hey guys. Emailed MNAO about my 8 and they said it has already arrived at port...Now the bad news...It seems like the early December part is true so far...who knows any more though...

Here is there reply......

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Robert,

Thank you for contacting Mazda North American Operations. I appreciate
the opportunity to respond to you.

Pease understand that we do not have a vehicle tracking system that
will provide all of the requested information with daily or
geographical updates. However, I can advise that your RX-8 is
currently listed as having an estimated dealership delivery date for
the first week of December. The arrival date at port lists that it was
received at a West Coast Port on October 31 and is to be delivered to a
final port in Dallas. No further dates are available. The only
remaining ETA is that of delivery, already advised.

Again, thank you for contacting Mazda. It has been my pleasure to
assist you. Please feel free to reply to this message with any further
questions or comments.

Regards,
