A GT may have leather seats, and/or and BOSE sound system.

GT (grand touring) - cars MUST have heated leather seats along with ALL the other accessories.
T (Touring) - must have a sunroof, HID headlights, auto dimming mirror, and Bose
S (sport) - has the upgraded suspension & traction control IIRC (but you can buy an upgrade to HID lights)
B (Base) - Just the car essentially

So you could get by with any model except "base" basically

6 disc changer and nav are options that can be added to any trim level.

should have a combo of , leather, sun roof, heated seats, DSC. ^^^ I don't think any of the vehicles need to have the 6 disc. I think it was an option.

GT = Fully loaded,

not really the trim level you want if you are buying this for an autocross or track car.

That may depend on the year, my '07 sport got DSC, HID lights, and fog lights with the performance package. Without the performance package, no DSC.

In any case, if you want traction control you can tell by whether or not it has the button to the left of the steering wheel that turns it off. It's really more for rain than snow, in snow/ice it's sometimes necessary to turn off DSC because it cuts your throttle when the wheels spin (so if the rear wheels are sitting on snow/ice, you can be stuck if you don't turn it off).

When going from the Sport to the Touring in 2007 you got the following added features:

*300-watt Bose stereo
*In-dash 6 CD changer
*Moonroof
*Auto-dimming mirror with Homelink
*Xenon (HID) headlights
*Fog lights
*DSC with traction control

The GT had the following features over the Touring:

*Advanced keyless entry
*Leather seats
*Power adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support
*Heated front seats
*Heated mirrors

Obviously the first and the last you can't tell just by looking at the car but the other three can be easily seen.

All of this is according to the 2007 RX-8 brochure.
