help me with 8!

Hi, I'm 21 college kid. After working my *** off for about a year and a half, I finally have enough money for my downpayment!!
I was planning to buy an 8 around end of May of end of June.
But being as poor as I will be after I buy an 8, I want to get a real nice deal on it.
I'm looking for tit grey, MT, GT, no nav, no appearance package since i'll be installing a body kit.
I haven't started shopping yet, but one dealer offered me $100 over invoice.
Is that a good deal around this time? or should I push more?
Help me here!!

anything close to invoice (unless you're somehow affiliated with the Mazda corporation businesswise) is a good deal. $100 on top of invoice usually means nobody at the dealership makes any commission off you, except maybe lunch or something.

How much of a down payment did you put? If it's in the vicinity of $10,000 you can expect to make payments of $400-500 each month on top of insurance...

Do you think it's wise to buy an 8 right now since you are in college? Not trying to discourage you, but do you make enough on your job to make the payments on the 8, plus the insurance, plus college, plus whatever other expenses you will have such as gas, oil, etc.?

Just trying to be helpful and look at the big picture.

i tutor about 10hours a week, and my rate is 30bux an hour.
and if i run part time, i can make about $1700 a month.
my bill totals up to about $1000 a month if i buy the car, so i'm thinking i should be fine.
what cha think?

I'll stay away from the affordability side of this.

Dealer incentives reduce the dealer cost to somewhere less than invoice. Depends on their sales volume. Thought you might like to know this.
