I live in the northeast (Boston)
I've been trying to get out of an Acura and back into a Mazda
So anyway, every once in a while I go to Mazda.com and build my RX8, which is really just a GT 6 speed with a spoiler. I swear it used to be $350 or even less a month (24 months) but now its back up to $396. Did I miss a good deal? Not that I had a choice I'm still trying to sell this Acura.

Higher interest rates on the amount financed is probably the culprit.

actually, my "balloon finance" which is essentially a lease is up in mid august... i put 3000 down and pay'd 315 a month for 24 months(GT,6spd,wnavi)... looking around at other stuff, but ill prob go back to mazda for another 8 and see if i can get an even better deal

That is a hell of a deal. At close to invoice, and with $200 down, I was still getting $396/mo for 24 months, and thats with no nav. Whatever you do, don't go out and buy an Acura like I did, you'll be very disappointed :-(

You must have gotten the same deal I got. I got a 04 6MT, touring, apearance, spoiler with 1500 down and 279 per month for 30 months 30K miles. Mine is up next march and I haven't decided if I'm keeping her yet. I just hit 14K miles on her and haven't had any real problems, but at this pace, I'll hit the 4 year warranty mark before I hit the miles. I doubt Mazda will give me another deal like this one...so who knows...
