Got two cars that are on sale
Found some really nice cars that i would love to buy. They have none of that exterior bs, (im juss gonna buy aftermarket products from ebay/where ever/ MS)
One is a 2006 shinka, nothing else, galaxy gray for:
MSRP: $33,160 Invoice Price: $30,652
One is a 2006 GT, pearl white charge for:
MSRP: $31,705 Invoice Price: $29,400
I noe that Mazda is currently offering up to $3k in costumer cash bak that i would put as a downpayment and probably as much money as i deem necessary... i noe that u gotta make sure u get 5.9% APR which i will make sure i do, and nothing higher bc i got 830 Credit
But, i have to wait until January, how much costumer cash bak would they probably give bak? (How much was it last year)
How much do u think i can get either of the cars? Is the Shinka the extra 1k? I'm a person that really doesn't care what color or pretty much anything about the car as long as it is this car, the rx-8 which has been my dream car since its inception. Since im pretty sure i can get these cars for the same price as a base 2007, i rather get the older, yet better options car with a longer warranty. Thanks for your responses

Refugee,
Recent experience in buying my 2006 BW Touring:
- You should be able to get a least $2k more off from list. Mine was $32,259+ MSRP, Invoice $29,125+, started at $27,000 before rebates. You should be able to get the GT down to $28k or less before rebates.
- MAC financing is running 9% - 9.5% for excellant FICA rating. That's why everyone refinances after getting the extra $1k.
- Your logic re: the year is the same that I had. Longer warranty, no huge model difference.
Good luck!

Agree with Jimbo99, and you should be able to get more. I got mine 06 GT pearl white when they were offering $2000 rebate and $5100 off sticker. my total discount is $7100. My sticker was around $35000 because it had appreance, rotary acc, Nav, 6 disc CD.

reviving this bc i decided to go cheap... decided 4 the pearl white... but my problem i still have 2 wait 4 it until my trade in is repaired... but is the price dealer is offering is only 30,500 before rebates... from 31,750. Should i hold out n tell the dealer 2 take a loss or just take it?

I also recently had the choice between an '06 Shinka and a current year model. I opted for the '07 because the '06 car dealer wanted $30.7 for it. I got my '07 Touring edition for invoice before rebates, so basically $25.4k. $5k less for a newer model year car? Was a no-brainer for me but it might have been different had the '06 dealer been reasonable.
Another reason I got the '07 was that I wanted a stick-shift as opposed to an automatic but if you prefer AT and you can get your dealer to come down to around $28k it might be a good deal.
I passed up on the '07 Grand Touring because most of the extras are just fluff and I didn't want leather seats. Had those on my "old" 2006 Mazda 3 GT. I prefer cloth now
