Is this a good price?

Is this a good price?
I'm looking at getting an '04 RX-8. The place is selling it for $18,995. It's a GT with a little less than 20,000 miles on it. The Carfax looks clean on it but I'll see for myself on Saturday. Is this a good price for it or should I be expecting something lower? Should I try to talk them down? If so, how should I go about that? Thanks for any help.

any more details? if it's a dealer it will be a different price than an individual. even for a dealer you should be able to talk them down to the $18K mark at the very least.

I'm not sure what other details you want. Please let me know. It's at a used car dealership. I was hoping to talk them down to $18,000 including tax, title, tags, and whatever else.

any other options such as navi, appearance package, spoiler, etc. if you can get them out the door at $18K you got yourself a deal. check edmunds.com for your area to see what the real price people are paying in your area would be. you should be able to work a dealer down but with TTL you may be just north of $18K.

Good deal
If it is the car you want ,don't let a couple of hundred dollars keep you back? I passed up a car once because I wanted a "Good Deal". I regreted it later. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying pay any price to get it . If you love the car, pay a fair price and enjoy!

Thanks for the help guys. I went and checked out the car and test drove it and the price they were offering was very fair. It was pretty much in pristine condition. So I went ahead and bought it. My best purchase for 07.
