Financing Questions
This is my first post, but i have been reading around these forums for a couple weeks now. I'm just really concerned on the kinda payments you RX8 owners have to fork out per month. Im only 22, but i've loved rotaries for over 5 years now, and even was researching on the rx8 2 years before it even came out. So, to get to the point... there would be no other car that i would want more than the RX8, but i'd like to see some examples of what it costs to own of them beuty's.
p.s. a good fact to know also, is how much put down for a down payment.
Thanks for your time,
Chris.

Pay In Full
I'm also 22, first post, graduated and started working about 10 months ago... Which made me figure I could finally afford to start thinking of getting a new car
I also want this car really, really bad. I've been reading these forums quite a bit, downloading videos of the 8, test driven the car a couple of times, learning how the rotary engine works, etc... But I'm holding back. I'm using every ounce of strength I have to make myself wait at least 6 more months so that I'll finally have enough money to pay for the car in full.
I don't feel comfortable financing something that depreciates in value like a car does... it's like giving money away. And I don't like the idea of driving something I don't own. And I don't trust 0% APR--there's always a catch. So, basically, there's a lot of things I don't like about financing
I know this doesn't apply to everybody (different people, different situations) but I'd suggest this:
If you don't have the money to buy the car, wait until you have it. If you don't have the time to wait, then buy a cheaper car. I have way too many friends who work their @$$ off just to be able to pay off their student loans, credit cards, car, house, etc. Not a fun way to live...

damn... well, congrats on you being about to save up that much money, and the fact that you decided to continue your education at your early age, as for me, i took such a different road... Yes i am 22 aswell, but I am married (going on 3 yrs now), I have 4 kids, ages 4, 3, 2, 2. and i just started going back to school about 4 months ago. So, as for me trying to save a good amount of money for a good down payment on this vehicle is very hard... so financing would pretty much be the only option for me.
But i hope all goes well you for, and you are able to buy yourself an RX8. thanks for the responce as well.

Wuaw, we're in two totally different situations... You're way ahead of me.
I wish I could help you out, but I really haven't asked around about financing that much. I do have a couple of friends who've put virtually no down payment on their new cars (although they are not RX8s) so I don't know how much help that would be, but I'll ask them what kind of financing they got anyway.
Hopefully you'll be getting more help from the other guys here in the forums who've financed their 8s. Good luck, I hope things work out and you're able to get this car. When you do, don't forget to post pics

I am 22 too and I just got my 8 for about 2 months. I put down $2000 and my payment is about $481 per month for 60 months (4.25 APR). Hope that helps.
Now...you are only 22 and have 4 kids already? geez you are really wayyy ahead of me. Remeber the 8 can only sit four people total so I won't recommend it if you don't have another car (like a minivan or something).
