F & I Guy Ruined MY Buying Experience
I was going to write a chronicle of how the Finance Guy at Gaithersburg Mazda brow beat me for well over 60 mins really trying to stick it to me, but then I was reminded of a story:
It seems an old woman was tooling down the pike when she came upon an injured snake. She rush over and gently scooped up the ailing animal and took him home. Over the next few weeks she nursed him back to health with compassionate love.
One day the woman returned home to find the snake sitting up and feeling much better. She smiled and went to pet him when all of a sudden the snake bit the old woman. Astonished and bewildered the woman asked the snake: why did you bite me?
The snake looked coldly into her eyes and responded "You knew I was a snake when you took me in, Bit-h!."
Next time, it's to the bank first... F--k the slithering F & I guys!

Is this a car you just got, or something you just now wanted to share?
You can always get pre-approved at your bank or credit union (or Capitol One online) and make the dealer beat the rate to do the financing. With the MAC money on left over 04 cars, you have to go through the dealer. I wonder if MazdaCredit does online pre-approvals like Nissan and some others do? If so, that is one more step you can get out of the way before heading to the dealership.

My g/f wrote a check for her RX-8. She told him this up front. Still had to watch the stupid videos on his computer about LoJack, extended warranty, and some onther BS. Then he insisted on looking up financing options. Repeated that she was writing a check, had the checkbook open and mostly filled out at this point. He "advised" her to pay down her mortgage and take a home-equity loan instead (which he could "help" with). At this point she's ready to tell them to take the RX-8 and stick it. Finally he typed up the papers and took the cheque.
