End of Lease Inspection

I had my end of lease inspection today. The guy seemed nice, he liked the car and said the car was in good shape. He checked everything off as ok except some odd scrape thing on my fender, but he even said he put it as 1.5" instead of 2" so it would be considered normal wear and tear. So everything is fine, as I expected it to be. BUT. I'm noticing he made lots of mistakes on the specs of the car. Should I be concerned about this stuff?
He marked the car as not having heated seats when it does. He marked it as having 2 airbags when they have at least 4 don't they? Of course he marked it as a 4 cylinder. He also marked it as front wheel drive. Also to the question "Has vehicle ever been wrecked?", he marked Yes. Now he asked me if its even been in an accident and I said yes, but wrecked kinda sounds worse than a fender bender, like its never been totalled or in any major accidents! Should I be concerned about this stuff or is it nothing?

I'd be concerned about the "wrecked" comment........I guess you'll have to wait and see what happens

Depends what you're going to do at the end of the lease (you didn't say!) If you're giving it back, who cares, they'll stick you for whatever fees they can think of on the spot, that's just a basic issue with all leases (go back and read the fine print in your agreement). Kinda like renting an apartment - don't ever expect to see your security deposit when you move out, even if you leave it spotless.

If you're gonna buy the car on the residual, then the "faults" he highlighted could be used to your advantage in negotiating a lower sale price.

End of lease buyout?

I'm coming up to the end of my two year lease (July) and am curious if Mazda is offering any kind of incentive to purchase the car. I'd be interested in keeping mine if the price were right, but the residual as estimated two years ago wouldn't work.

Anyone else have a Mazda lease end recently who can comment?

I don't believe the residual is an estimate, i think that is an agreed upon price?

The guy who inspected your 8 is a total moron.
Get them to correct their errors or you might be charged for airbags.
