Cash in Extended Warranty?

Anyone do this? My car is a year old with 15K on the odometer.

The fine print says you can cancel it and receive a pro rated refund.

The warranty I got is 6 year\75,000 miles for $1,750.

It also states that you must mail it to them with a notarized affidavit that states the mileage.

I'm just wondering if anyone has done this and what kind of affidavit is required. All I can find are affidavits for odometer readings when selling a car. Can I write up my own and take it to a notary?

Reason for this is I really don't think I'll keep my car stock long enough to use this warranty so I might as well use the money for something worthwhile like FI.

I had an extended warranty for my 2002 Miata that I traded in, the dealer took care of everything and I recieved a check in the mail a couple of weeks later. I did have a form to sign at the dealer but it was no big deal. I would say if you bought it from a dealer call them and see if they can do the paperwork for you.
