Anyone else receive this offer?

I got a flyer from my dealership today that advertises up to $4000 off of a new 2004 or 2005 Mazda (including the RX-8) and 3.9% for 60 months. The $4000 is bonus cash for current Mazda owners only. I currently have a 2004 MT, but I was wondering if it would be worth trading up to a 2005? Do the 2005's have any major improvements from the 2004 models?

Funny, there's usually 2 or 3 ads a week in my newspaper showing over $12,000 off MSRP for 2004 RX-8s, so the price is around $20,795.

Yeah, I knew they had been discounting the 2004's pretty heavily for awhile, but this was the first I have heard about the 2005's being discounted.

Dealer marketing crap-ola is all that is.

"Up to" is the key phase here. On one car (maybe a left over 8) they might give a $4k discount, on an 05 8 they might take off $500 or something. They only way to know is to go in and see, which is what they want - and I am sure it is NOT going to be $4k under invoice like an 04 would be.

Besides with the terrible trade in value (due to the slow selling 8s) you would probably take a bath on the trade process.

this is at Wayne Mazda in New Jersey. Then there's another one, East Coast Mazda advertising 04's for $17,796, after rebates.
