Am I going to find a base model with nav?

Hi folks. I'm about ready to purchase an RX-8. One of the things I like about this car is that the base 6MT has everything I need, and nothing I don't. Almost. I'd like to have the navigation system, but in looking around it doesn't look like there are any base trim cars that have the nav system. I'm guessing it's too late to order an '04 at this point also.

I'm not dead set on having the nav system, so if I'm not going to find a car optioned that way I won't waste my time. I've already found a couple cars in the trim level and color I want.

Thanks

Matt

The closest that I've seen is Nav with Sport...and I see it every day. :D

I've seen a couple optioned that way-when I first saw them they were going for nearly the same price as GTs without NAV

While I doubt that you'll find anything less than a GT-trim package equipped with the NAV option, there's a a really useful search feature on Mazda's corporate website that allows you to check the inventory either on the lot or assigned to dealers but still in transit, and sort the results by a number of different characteristics. The search can be done in a wide radius of a given zipcode. My hunch is that you'd have to order this particular combination, though.

Thanks guys. I may have found a Titanium that is a base model with nav and CD changer, but I really have my heart set on blue. I don't know that I want to order at this point either (nownownow!).

Yes. There are several base+Nav out there. I really wanted Sport, so I didn't get it, but the dealer found 2 base+Nav in my area.

Thumbs up

Thanks for all the suggestions. With the search on Mazda's site I've managed to find a couple base models with Nav - but the trick is finding one in blue. The Sport + Nav looks like a more common combination, and I've found a few of those in the color I want.
