2nd Allocation has hit the dealers
Well, some good news for the 2nd Allocation guys. Good Duck reports that he got his car yesterday in Florida. Congrats. He was on the 2nd Allo, on the boat that hit JAXPORT on 7/18th. That means the 2nd Allo 8's are definately on the move and arriving at dealers. Since I got some more options and live further from the port, I am expecting a delivery call next week. PS Do not wait for the released from port email (they are two days late from all accounts)

The cars headed for ATL have left JAXPORT and are on their way up. ETA 7/28th. Check your dealerships this weekend if you are a 2nd Allo JAXPORT person.

Now, exactly how are the 2nd allocation cars that just reached port on 7/18 getting to dealerships before the 1st allocation cars that have been in port since June?!?

I think I've about decided it's best not to even read this forum any more till we get our cars. I just get more PO'd everday I read people aren't getting their cars. Now that 2nd allocation cars are arriving I've about had it!

My 2 cents is that the first allocation cars have not delivered yet are due to either shipping problems by the shippers themselves or parts that need to be installed are in short supply, eg., sports packages, spoilers, etc.
We can only hope that they start resolving these issues and get everyone their cars soon.

That is exactly right. Some 1st allocation cars are clearly delayed by trucking issues and poor management like down in Texas. Others are clearly delayed because certain options are in short supply (particularly on the west coast that got cars alot faster than the east coast). Just because one person gets a car with a spoiler does not mean that they have 50 spoilers ready to go for all cars. Hence, I really do believe the port-installed options are slowing things down. Remember some of the S, T and GT package options are installed at the post, if they don't have it, your car sits there, while protege's, MPV, etc get shipped out. Not fair, not smart, not cool, but probably what is happening. Some of the reason why 2nd allocation cars are getting to dealers is also that the 1st allocation had other logistic delays related to the fact that it was the first rx8 to get there. (remember there is always a learning curve) So the 2nd allocation guys got a little lucky break because of this. But remember while you guys got stuck "at port" forever, we were waiting from 5/30 - 6/27 at the port in Japan. My car was made one day after most of the 1st allocation.
Anyway, I am by no means saying that we deserve ours before the 1st Allo, I hope you get your cars ASAP.
Heres to aftermarket options!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm leaning towards the lack of carriers available to deliver the cars. Mine has been sitting in Midlothian for a week now waiting on a truck to pick it up. I would hope that mazda would have had the port options available since most if not all ordered (at least I did) those options well in advance.
Time to talk to the magic 8 ball again.

The VIN range is about 1740 - 2200. The west coast got some higher VIN's in the 2nd Allocation but regardless this is what we are talking about.

I think second allocation numbers are slightly higher than that. I say that because the car I have ordered is VIN # 4128 and is due to be released to dealer next week. It is already confirmed "in port" earlier this week.

The numbers could be off, OR as I said, 2 things:
#1 West coast got a bunch more boats than the east coast, VINs have been much higher over there . . . I have not been following along. Remember we waited 5/30 to 6/27 for our ship to leave . . . hence a lot of cars got built in the meantime.
#2 Elara, boats are arriving alot quicker. You got a third allo car that hit at the same time as the 2nd since the 2nd was so delayed, the third caught up.
BTW: Just got a call from the dealer -- My car showed up.
See ya!

I traded up for a dealer allocation yesterday instead of waiting another month for mine. The VIN that I picked up is 3816.
Looks like the Mazda factory is pumping these bad boys out!

That's kind of funny because my VIN# is 6649 and as of this past Friday its on the water ETA 4th week in august. I'm beginning to think it may come sooner based on your post and others.
