2005 Invoice price?
I noticed from a previous post that the MSRP for the '05s went up about $200, as well as an additional $200 or so for the option packages. Does anyone know the invoice prices yet for the 2005s? This ~$400 increase should be reflected, correct? I'm about to place an order for an '05 and wanted to know what I was paying, since I was quoted relative to invoice.

Edit: Oops, I didn't read closely enough -- this thread is about invoice, not MSRP. Sorry about that.

2005 info
Hi,
I ordered a 2005 RX-8 on Saturday, due here week 3 September.
FYI: Do not let the dealers fool you, the 05's are ordered and at the docks. Every dealer I called tried to avoid the 2005's until I told them Mazda already told me most dealers were taking orders for 05's. (Which Mazda did tell me)
The best bet is to call Mazda at (800) 639-1000 and they will find you the car you are looking for. This is how I did it and they are great to work with.
The dealer showed me his incentive form. The only incentives (per the dealer) are $500 college grad (must be in last 2 years) and $1000 for some competitive program which I was not involved in.
The 0% interest is 24 month term only
As far as discounts, initially I was told to expect to pay MSRP.
I was able to get 1/2 of the total amount above invoice taken off.
I think this was around $1600, but I do not recall exactly.
I do not recall the MSRP off-hand, but it was just over 36k I believe.
Red/red-black leather/6 speed/Grand Touring/Nav/Appearance/Rotary accent/6 cd/Rear spoiler/spare tire kit
This was the only loaded RX-8 coming into my area in the initial batch, so I called the dealer and put it on hold... jumped in my car and went there and put down a deposit.. haha
I can post exact numbers once I get it if requested.

I just ordered my '05 on Tuesday - the best I could manage with the dealer was about $400 over invoice for a total of $28,400 for a Touring 6-speed with accent package.
Initially they lied to me and said the '05s were not available til December, but I got a different salesman and he saw that I had my facts straight and didn't BS me.

I was told 4-6 weeks ... I suspect they'll just gank a car off a shipment that matches my specs instead of waiting for it to be built, which is fine with me.
