2004 rx8 gt
I have a question and need some help getting the right answers. Ok i found a 2004 rx8 gt thats for sale for 7,500. The owner is willing to let if go for 6,000. It has 138,000 on the body and 70,000 on new motor. It's a one owner car. Looks clean never crashed, no leakes, and it's adult owned. The miles on the car is whats makeing me worry. Also the car has a performance clutch. I recently lost my job so i had to get rid of my 2008 350 z. Sad but have to move on. I got 7,000 to spend on a car. Any thoughts are qwelcomed.
Thanks..
Thanks..

I wouldn't. You lost your job and sold your Z which means you are tight on cash. Don't go cheap on an 8 because you will most likely run into problems down the road which you might not be able to afford.

well the car is in great condition all services have been done by mazda. And he has the records. I have more than $7,000 cause i sold my 2008 z which i only owed $6,000 on it. So i got like 14,000 for her. I just want to spend that, due to no job at the moment. I don't want to buy a car from 1995 thats gonna give me nothing but problems been there before with my 2000 civic si. I havn't made my mind yet but i would like to get into a rx8. Cause it's the next close thing to a 350z.

As much as I like RX8's for what they are... the previous posters might be right. At the moment, it seems like the wrong car for you.
Maintainance for the RX8 isn't cheap. Neither is 91-93 octane gas and with our gas mileage, expect to be pumping very often. RX8's aren't the most forgiving cars when it comes to being on top of maintainance either. Reliability isn't a strong point for these cars.
However, if your mind is set and the car really is as clean as you say it is. For 6k, sure. Why the heck not? Just be aware that there are many other sports cars out there that are much more reliable.

I'd go for it. If the car is clean and the owner has all the maintenance records and all the maintenance was done, I wouldn't worry too much. Remember, when engines were replaced the oil metering was tweaked so the middle of the seals should be getting more lubrication so they don't wear down prematurely.
