Have any of you received a direct mail certificate from Mazda offering $1,000 cash to customer on the purchase of a new Mazda? The following is copied from Edmunds.com web site:

Restrictions Must not have purchased a new Mazda, Ford, Lincoln or Mercury in the past 4 (four) years.
Comments The Direct Mail Certificate is issued to select customers. Only eligible customers qualify. Customer required to show a copy of the Direct Mail Certificate. I called Mazda and asked them about that specific rebate, as I'm in the process of buying an RX8.

They said that it was a very small promotion that was sent to Ford owners, and was good on ford or mazda vehicles. They said that it was never intended to be a wide scale thing, and that they had notified edmunds.com to remove it from the website.
