RX8club.com License Plate Frames?

I'm not sure where else to ask this, so I'll ask here. You seem to be the only one that has RX8club stuff, so I'll give it a shot. Mods feel free to move this around if needed. I am a little hesitant, as most people are, of putting a sticker on my car. Maybe if someone, maybe PoLak, I don't know, could make a license plate frame that goes around your rear license plate. I know that I would be much more inclined to buy one, especially if they were really cool looking. Anyone else think that this is a good idea?

Good idea. But really don't be so hesitant about the stickers. Their good quality, can be applied to just about anywhere and removal is a breeze. They leave no sticky residue and actually hold up well in the elements. I've had mine on for over a year and it looks as good as the day I put it on.

I think maybe he meant just that some people don't like to put stickers on their cars period, not just because of the sticky element. Myself, I won't put stickers on my car for anything. But a license plate frame, I'd rock that in a second.

Yep, I don't want any stickers on my car of any kind. But, a license plate frame would do no permanent damage and it would look daggum good. Hopefully it would be a little cheaper than the $35 or so for the RX-8 frame from Mazda.

I'd prefer brushed aluminum or black - something less shiny. My 2 cents.

Like this (brushed aluminum):

Or black (metal):

Or you can find them in black brushed aluminum, but I couldn't find a pic.

Any of those would be great. I like the gray, but my car is black, so I don't know how that would work out.

Edit: I was thinking that if you wanted to get really cool, at the bottom of the frame you could have RX8Club.com, then on the top of the frame have your user name custom made on there. That would be sick.

Under $35, count me in. Solid black though, nothing shiny. Hell, I'd get a plastic one if it looked cool and I'd LOVE to promote the site as it's consumed my internet life. That black metal one is teh hawt!

I love the brushed aluminum type frame in the pic below! This would look great with the Titanium Gray, especially. I'm in if this gets off the ground!

Would be really nice if it could somehow incorporate the rotary symbol somewhere in there...there's a total lack of such a product (rotary symbols/something rotary related on a plate frame) on the market.

Also one other thing, I would agree that plastic would actually be better. If it were to be metal based, it would have to be VERY well painted and finished on the underside edges that touch the car. I bought a metal Zoom Zoom plate that was painted black off Ebay and when I went to take it off to clean my plate, I discovered that the paint had faded through on the edge, and that the metal edge had RUSTED. And being in contact with the car, the rust had started eating into the car's paint! Plastic is the way to go as far as I'm concerned.

My friend just bought me Mazda's shiny RX-8 plate holders but I'd like ones with my username and everything but it may be a little redundant since my plates say BNY GRL, or at least will when they ever show up!
