Does a no front plate ticket make your insurance go up?
It is not a moving violation so I would assume no.

Nice find. I signed up. I have a front license plate although I really hate it and have debated many times about removing it and trying my luck.

you must not live in chicago huh? park anywhere in the loop during business hours and expect a ticket. park anywhere around the clubs on the weekend and expect a ticket. park on the street in front of your house and expect a ticket. $50 bucks a pop. i have two tickets that have a hearing scheduled for tints on my front windows, which are now legal since october of last year. those are $250 each.
i was also somehow found guilty for parking in a handicapped spot -- they actually put signs AROUND my car, and then gave me a ticket. $250 for that bad boy too. i am house hunting in the burbs :whipping: |
Yea I just got a ticket today. I parked in Tacoma and a cop gave me a ticket $86 =( lame i guess I have to put the plate back on and get the bracket to mount it
funny. mine was $124
Mines been off an on ever since I got ticketed I hate it

I know this is the NW forum, but...
I've had no plate for 5 years here in Maryland and haven't been bothered. Last year I put the MS bumper on, and I've been pulled over twice within a month. The first time I got a repair order with no fine from a Baltimore County cop, but the second time I got a $60 ticket from a MD state trooper. I'm seriously considering buying one of those motorized license plate holders from swift motorsports. There is just no good way to permanently install a plate on the MS bumper. But, those $60 will start to add up if I keep getting pulled over! |
Been plate-less up front since I got the car in 2006. Never gotten a ticket for it but I have gotten two tint tickets since I've had the car.
In North Carolina you dont...sigh...
But I havent been pulled over for my s2000 yet, my wife runs her front plate on the rx8. |
I have never gotten pulled over for it and I have ran without it since highschool so about 7 years and I have been pulled over plenty of times and never ticketed. I do put it in the front window for long trips but I normally have it in the trunk
Cops are dicks here in NJ. I just as soon run with front plates just to avoid being hasseled. It sucks because it really takes away from the appearance of the car.
ive been going plateless for a few weeks... i have a tendancy to get ticketed for ANYTHING though, so ive been keeping it on my dash. i hate it though
Dash isn't good enough, they can still ticket you. Pretty sure that it's turning into a moving violation here in WA soon, if it isn't one already.
Putting your plate on the dash just makes it obvious that it's not mounted. And will get you pulled over sooner, at least in OR. It looks natural to just not have it. Throw it in the trunk (where it belongs) instead.
fuck. i guess it's going in the trunk then... i just cant bear to put that thing back on. looks like a f'n buck tooth
Lol out it in the pouch thin behind the passenger seat and if u get pulled over sat someone backed into you and ripped the mounting bracket off a couple days ago. It has worked for me
Uh wow not good. Could you imagine if that caught on?
Yeah cause we all know that stupid plate will get messed up and we will get pulled over for it
