What I've been doing instead of driving my RX8: Best Prank Ever ITT

I've been racing one of my motorcycles. I've had 2 race weekends, tons of track days, and 1 gnarly crash in turn 5 ( turn 4 for you car guys).

Post crash there has been 3 track days and 2 race rounds (3 races). First off, after the crash I was a bit timid for a few laps, and got back on it. A quick patch job of the fairings and

Here I am in the first practice session with my Mentor. It was raining/hailing/snowing the entire weekend. I was cold and miserable.

Pictures from the first race. It stopped raining, but track was still wet.

Few pictures from some track days.

Teammate and I going back and forth. Playing who can brake later game

Playing catch up to the pack in front of me (still a track day)

Good shot of the patchwork on the bike

Now this where it gets good. After the crash and shoddy patch job on the I was getting double tech inspected at track days. I made the comment to my buddy that "I don't care what I ride. I'll race anything. Hell, I'll race a pink bike". Well that gave them ideas. I gave my spare bodywork to my buddy to paint, and I thought it wasn't going to be done until after the first race. I helped them load the trailer Friday before the race, and when I rolled it out on Saturday morning it was pink. I present to you, my new bodywork that I was thought was going to be blue.

Here's the video of my first time seeing the bike on Saturday morning.

******** responsible for it

Here are some pics of me not bitching out and riding it. Saturday it rained during the race. Sunday it dried out and I was able to actually do some things.

Hopefully I can get out there and go on a drive with you guys soon. Tire budget is killing me

Hey, you missed the same drive you did with us last year - it was April 27th - except we went to Copalis Beach instead of Pacific Beach. Check out the Spring Carbon Cleaning II thread...

That's awesome! Brandon is a friend of mine. He fixed my RX-8 when it got hit by a rock and he'll be probably be painting my body kit soon, if he gets some time. Kudos on the hello kitty bike. Reminds me of a friend that wrecked his new track bike, so he covered the whole thing in wood-grain shelf paper and put Country Squire emblems on it that he got from a wrecked station wagon.

I attached a picture of his brother Dan'l riding my old track bike. Crazy bastard can still smoke me riding with one arm. The other picture is from a guy during that same track day that went off in 4/5 and hit the cement barrier that was there. Not pretty.
