No I bought mine new. I waited for the price to go down. Plus it was the dealers promo car so it was only driven by him and he had the stuff added. Yeah mine is an auto only cause my husband cannot drive stick and came to a compromise with the full package and sport tronic shifter. Is it you I see at the gym SEE-RX8 or your Nemesis 8?????

Nah haven't been to any meetings @ izzy's yet. Keep forgetting about them. I will make it to one or two of them sometime this year. I think I saw a glimmer of your car but I didn't see the flames. I saw it cruisin in Olympia on the road that goes by Burger King, Safeway, and the Capital Mall.

 

What dealership did you get it from, Zoom? Just wondering, becuase the car really sounds like IronMedics...I can't imagine too many winning blue autos, with chrome wheels, and other mods...Auto's aren't big on mods.

What mods are they, and when did you get the car? I'm asking because I'm afraid the dealer sold you a line to make the deal.

 

Emsdad, it was before Ironmedic sold his car emsdad I believe. I got it from Lincoln,Mazda, Mercury of Olympia in February and it only had 5000 some odd miles on it. It was the promo car for the owner of the company and it didn't have plates on it at all cause I had to wait 2 weeks for them. If it was ironmedics car they would have sold his car with his old plates on them since they are registered already. I know the dealer well cause I have had my previous mazda protoge serviced there over the years for oil changes and things so I trust em' really well. I had seen the owner drive it around. The mods are just the tinted windows and chrome wheels. I purchased it February 13th of this year. Where's ironmedic from?

 

I got mine there also but but the car came from sound mazda...But I would not by any thing from sound mazda. I told Lincoln,Mazda, Mercury of Olympia What I wanted where it was and I was only paying 500 over invoce go get it.and they did.. I would give Lincoln,Mazda, Mercury of Olympia all good prop's
I'm more into looks then speed it fast enought for me as is.

I heard a couple of people say stuff about sound Mazda too. They are just not really into selling there cars or something. I had a friend go there and she walked around the lot for 15mins before someone had come up to her and they were standing there in building doin nothing. I give good props as well to anyone else that is looking for a 8 to go there. I am seeing more and more of them pop up. It's almost getting to that time of the year where they give almost anything to sell one. I bought mine more for looks also than for speed. There was a Mazda speed 8 on the lot next to the building that was a t-gray but didn't want it because one it was a manual which I can totally drive but my husband cannot and was thinking of him. Which most people are like why don't I just teach him it's easy...you have to teach someone who wants to really want to. Reason #2 was that too many 8's around here are t-gray or silver. It's the most common round here. I have only seen one winning blue other than mine and it was the basic one. Like I said earlier hope to add fender strakes to mine to later on this year just go to find one at the right price.

 

Spied a Winning Blue on the 405 from Bellevue up to Kirkland. A woman was driving and wouldn't make eye contact, could tell because of the lack of tint on the blue.

 

Spotted a TI today. Got on I-5 southbound right in front of me at exit 133-4(?) just north of the Tacoma dome. Looked like it had a nice set of aftermarket wheels on it.

I caught up and tried catching the guys eye (In uniform so most likely from Ft. Lewis or McChord), but he was to interested in exceeding the speed limit and weaving through rush hour traffic.

 

Not me, glad I got tint on mine. Not as dark as I would like but hey it's good for now.

 

Spied a winning blue, heading towards Meridian in Puyallup, on 176th St. It was an older blonde woman driving, and did not seem to care one bit about having another RX-8 right behind her...I passed her and looked directly at her to see if she waves or something, and.....nothing...looking straight forward oblivious or uncaring.

I think it's pretty clear that the vast, vast majority of RX-8s are owned by non-enthusiasts; they typically like their car, but don't feel any affinity with other RX-8s. My wife fits that--she really loves her RX-8 (other than the putrid gas mileage), but she does not wave to other RX-8s.

 

It wasn't me....I am a half asian chick with black hair and I usually wave to others if they can see me =)

 

I took the 8 down to Vancouver, WA for my son's soccer tournament last Friday (7/29). I spotted a Yellow 8 heading northbound on I-5 just south of the Hiway 16 intersection in Tacoma. I'm pretty sure I saw a yellow RX8club sticker (from Polak) on the driver's side rear window so I thought I'd post a sighting.

I had plenty of time to look for RX-8s that day as traffic was stop and go on I-5 from Federal Way to Olympia.

Another player's dad drove a 350Z and made a comment to the effect that the 8 had as small a trunk as his Z. I got the last laugh as we both arrived at the field at the same time and 4 people got out of my 8. "Try that in your Z" I thought.

 

This morning around 7:10 am, I was following a Winning Blue on Bothell-Everett Highway until I made a right turn. Not sure if the driver noticed me or not.

Also, I work for Safeco and when I park in the garage on Roosevelt, I often run into a velocity red w/ appearance package and chrome rims.

 

Saw a red 8 at Diamond Jims diner in Bellingham. I was relieved when parking next to him that my car was cleaner than his....

 

Yesterday, I saw a black 8 w/ MS replica front bumper on 196th St in Lynwood around 5:30 pm. Had aftermaket exhuast w/ big tips. Anyone here?

 

Saw another Sunlight Silver on Fort Lewis today, didn't notice any mods... anyone here?
