I keep seeing 8's on the road, but I think these people are not on this forum. So, here is a sightings thread just for Western Washington.

Spotted a Sunlight Silver in Olympia - Blonde driving with dog in passenger seat.

Spotted a Velocity Red at the Olympia dealership with a "Corksport" logo in the rear window. Found out it is throwing a CEL.

Spotted a Sunlight Silver with appearance pacakge in Montesano - female driver - who are you?

Met a '05 White 8 owner last night at the RX7 meeting at Izzy's - have not seen before.

Saw a Nordic Green on I5 last night that looked determined to head North real fast....

Anybody own these cars here?

I've seen a couple on the base where I'm stationed. I always put a business card on the windshield introducing myself and asking for a call back to chat about the car. No responses yet.

Nemesis, Do you have a CZ unit & CANscan wired in? I'm trying to find a used one before I dole out the $800.00 + for a new one, and want to find someone in the area that can help with the install and provide some tutorial.

 

Currently it is up North in BC with another forum member. I am having the ignition circuit corrected. Hopefully I will get it back in a week. Most of what I have learned so far is from him.

I had it installed pretty quickly - piece of cake to accomplish. It's the tuning that can be time consuming. I also have the Harrison version of the CANScan, which I have been told needs to be modified by CZ to correct for the proper O2 readings.

So, I am without both at the moment, but later this month I'll be rockin' again, and I'll be more than happy to show you the setup. Maybe you could meet up with dmp and me after I get it running, because I plan on doing another Dyno to see what all my mods together are putting down on the pavement.

I was at Costco in Issaquah filling up my Velocity Red Rx8 when a Silver one pulled up
to the pump next to me. There's also been another Silver Rx8 at my dentists office in Snoqualmie.
I was just up in BC (Mission) and didn't see any Rx8s on the drive up, there or coming back.

Let me know if you have a Saturday or Sunday available when you get your CZ unit back. I've got mine sitting on the table waiting to go. I was really hoping to get the N flash before I put it in but as you saw in the other forum, my dealer is being obstinate. I'm gonna get some readings with just the Harrison unit this week to try and see where my numbers are falling out.

 

No problem - we should time with Dan coming down from BC. He has helped me with mine so far, and it would be good to have him around also. We could start our own little CZ club.

I see them all the time where I live. Every time I see another rx8 while I'm driving my 8 I flash my lights or wave. Haven't gotten a single look, response, or anything yet. Oh well.

 

I know...no one ever responds...there is no sense of community with other 8 drivers.

When I had my miata, I would always do the miata wink, and almost everyone would wink back...I miss that.

 

Galleychief, do you work at PSNS? When I was working day shift I would frequently see a velocity red heading west on WA-16 over the narrows.

I spotted a silver in Renton today on SW Grady Way, and I followed a nordic green for several miles going south on I-5.

Unfortunately my brother is coming up from Boise this weekend, and Saturday is my buddy's birthday. The following weekend I may be driving to Spokane / CDA to see my parents, but if not I would love to get together.

Had my windows tinted at Spokane Sunscreen Thursday. My wife let me get it done for fathers day. I drove around town for a while and didn't see another 8. . Would be nice to talk to another owner and forum member. Had to head home though, back up north, before the deer come out, (seen them in time, but almost got a black bear, him and I were both lucky. :D ) The guy at the tinting place did say his freind had a Silver 8 that they had put a design in the tint on the side windows, this car belong to anyone here on the forum?

 

Got my first wave in the 8, I felt special.

Another Ti Grey (I think) with factory spoiler drove past me on 100th Ave. today when I was waiting to turn. He waved at me and I followed for a bit, but then it was time to turn into my street.

 

There's a Titanium Grey one that goes to the same gym I do Powerhouse in Lacey and was wondering if any of you know who it is that is part of the club cause they have the window cling on the little back mirror. I own a winning blue color with the special factory chrome wheels and tinted windows. I have seen quite a few 8's in Olympia mostly silver and t-gray.

 

Is yours an auto......and did you buy it used????
