Weekend Getaway?

I'm considering a special event for TWR. A Weekend Getaway, including 2 days worth of the usual TWR routes, accomodations, Lunch, and Breakfast, for a reasonable fee. Is there any interest in something like this.

It would be in addition to the regular drives, though as usual, I know most folks can't make every drive.

Kristopher, When gas prices weren't so high, I would have considered it, but now... Depending on the location, it could be 3-4 tanks, plus lodging and food. What were you thinking as a reasonable fee?

Well, my 5 minute review of maps has a route of about 450 miles. I'm hoping to trim a few miles off that route hear and there. And if some of the roads that LOOK really fun are paved, the route would actually be closer to 400 miles. Chelan is the destination I have in mind at the moment.

I'm sure I'd get in trouble if I mentioned specific prices at this point. I want to apply the same value principle I use for the Sunday Drives. Primarily, covering my costs.

Will you be making any recommendations for lodging, with perhaps a deal involved? Or would we need to make our own arrangements?

Chelan does sound like fun

I'd be interested if I know far enough in advance to try to get the Saturday involved off work, as well as plan ahead and save to have extra cash, or perhaps it could be planned for sometime in the fall or later after I get my settlement so that I have plenty of spare cash lying around.

Finances are my primary concern at the moment and would be secondary to the ability to get the day off work.

I have two options to pursue at this point. Option one would be to include lodging in the package (this would be my preference if I can swing it, but there may be licensing issues that I need to deal with). The second option would be to arrange a discounted group rate (I'm fairly confident this is possible). My goal being to set this up so all you have to worry about is putting fuel in the tank and having fun.
