Two down, one to go... but which one? (JantzenRX-8's new front bumper)

So as many of you know i had a bit of a mutiny on my hands as my car tried to throw itself into a ditch on it's own...

I've acquired the Mazdaspeed sides and rear to hide/fix the damages but i can't decide what to do with the front.

The new look

I have two ideas:

1) Mazdaspeed front (P.S. thanks to the guy i stole the picture from)

2) Leg Motorsports carbon fiber lip (thanks evilyeti @ rx8club.com) and re-spray the OEM front bumper (mine has rock chips galore)

What do you think? At the end of the day the MS route will be a couple hundred more but that's not really a determining factor.

I'm wondering how the Leg lip will flow with the MS sides. Think we need to get someone to photoshop them together to see how it looks.

You have to get the wing though. Go big or go home.

I like the Feed bumper but it's too extreme to put on my car.

It is a touch aggressive with out being over the top. What made me think of it though was the bumper has rounded sides on the lower section similar to the Leg lip.

I like the MS front, but you already heard me say that on Saturday. Maybe you could partially paint that CF lip to tie it in better with the skirts. That way it won't look as abrupt between the CF and the skirt.

I see what you mean. It's a good hybrid of the two. I'm pretty sure that would scrape everywhere though. It looks pretty low. I mean, i like this lip but i'm pretty sure i would toast it in a week

Have you had an issues with your lip and are you lowered?

The Feed bumper does not sit real low. I will see if I can find a profile picture just for reference.

Uh kind of haha I'm not as low as it looks in this pic. I'm backing into my driveway which I have .5" of clearance. I'm running Tein Flex coilovers. One thing to keep in mind with the Leg lip is it hangs lower on the sides then the center. IIRC on a flat surface there is around 5" of clearance in the center and 4" of clearance on the sides.

I have scraped a few times which is not a good feeling or sound. Two times leaving my driveway where I barley went over the curb pulling out (which is enough with .5" of clearance) and one time pulling out of a gas station.

Damn, that does look good. A little pricey though considering i'd still have to paint it and assuming it fits well.

Right now i think i'm:

Mazdaspeed - 52.5%
Leg CF Lip - 42.5%
FEED - 5%

FYI - $'s do matter

Mazdaspeed w/ fog light brackets - $1250
Leg with de-badge + re-spray - ~$1100
FEED painted- ~$1800

Mazdaspeed:
Pros - Can't go wrong with how it looks. Comes painted. Cheap compared to MSRP (Mazdaspeed Motorsports Developement FTW!), durable (i'm assuming OEM type plastic with some give), good fitment, would complete the kit.

Cons - Meh... can't think of any

Leg Motorsports CF Lip:
Pros: Looks badass, best looking CF lip out there, would flow well with MS kit (IMO), I have a hook up in Japan that should be able to get me this for less than $700 to my door (don't ask, the answer is no).

Cons - i'd be scared shitless to destroy it hitting a curb, or a cone, some road debris or my neighbor's cat. Feel obligated to paint the front bumper because mine looks like poo.

FEED:
Pros: it's pretty sweet, i'm still thinking about it. Hook up could probably get his hands on this too.

Cons: expensive and ditto on destroying it per ^^^

you could get the lip and repaint your bumper later when you have more dollars?

ms is somewhat flexible and def durable. you forget that you still gotta clear bra it either way.

Why does your front bumper need a respray? (nm, I just read it. I'm a n00b.)

BTW, I love how your exhaust sounds.

I agree. Full MS kit is hard to compete with.
