SyKart Fall Racing League
Just giving an early heads up for anyone interested in driving in the Tukwila SyKart league this fall. It starts September 7th. My days off workout so I'll be joining. You don't have to be qualified for 9HP karts to race. They race both 6.5HP and 9HP in the same race. League nights are every Tuesday for about 8-9 weeks. Races were 40 laps long (about a 25 minute race) during the winter league, with one pitstop required per race (doesn't mean it will be the same this time.)

They break the league into a light class and a heavy class. In the light class, you with your gear (helmet, ankle weights, and any clothes you wear) must weigh at least 170 pounds, or you must add 5 lb weights to the back of the kart to bring your weight up to 170 lbs. The heavy class minimum was somewhere between 190 and 210 pounds (I can't remember.) If you sweat and lose 2 lbs throughout the race and when you get off the track and you weigh under the minimum, you recieve a penalty.
It is great fun, and you will definately improve your karting skills. It is $30 a night to race, but if you buy a credit package, it is cheaper.
If you are interested and would like to get in the 9HP karts. You might want to start going now. They are changing the Tukwila track in August.

The first league race I ran I was so exhausted when I finished. They also have 30 min enduro races on Monday nights. I'll have Mondays off in three weeks if you'd like to try that out with me.
