Hey all,

So my buddy ho has a WRX claims that his exhaust company is just as good as a name brand one and will give you the same gains. I am very skeptical of what he says about it but I'm going to see if you have have heard anything/seen/tried/flamed/loved this company and exhaust for the RX.

For only 500 bucks it can't be too bad, but at the same time, if it sounds like a Honda its going to be a flaming piece of fecal matter.

Let me know what you think :-)

-Mike

Hmmm, and Corksport (from what I can tell) is a trusted Mazda performance brand. But if they're using the same Tip then what could possible ruin the exhaust throughout the rest of the pipe?

from past cars I would say stay away from them...got a header that cracked and was of poor quality but that was years ago. Maybe they have stepped their game up. I wouldn't know but I would never use them again.

depends on if you wanna be a pioneer with your car and your dollars man.

i'm sure we'd all love to see how it does but it's your money. there are plenty of proven exhausts out there to choose from. and remember the renesis has higher EGTs than other cars which help cause failures in exhaust systems that may work otherwise.

That's why I'm torn. The WRX it's on sounds awesome with the Exhaust, but I haven't heard or seen another RX8 with that system on it...Whether that's a good thing or a bad is debatable, but it definitely doesn't have enough information for me to feel comfortable. That would suck a week into it that the heat destroyed the exhaust :-(

If it were me I'd go with Corksport. It is light weight and proven and sounds great. Plus you would be supporting a local company in the rotary community. IMO the only downside to the CS exhaust is if you want to go FI because it is not 3" piping.
