Hey there Spokane area RX-8's we need to get a monthly or semi-monthly meet started... Anyone want to suggest a place, time, and date to get started? Just curious.

I'm up for an occasional beer together. Doesn't matter to me where it is.

I understand that there is. I've even been to a few of the meets... I was just curious if any of the RX-8 owners wanted to meet up on a monthly basis. I would be happy to schedule it so that the 8 owners could still make the other meets.

Windowtinter, I am always down for a good beer it's the smoking in the bars in this state that I can't stand. Still if there's a good place to meet up let me know.

Well, I'm in Seattle, but I have a buddy who races Miatas. They have a big event in Spokane at your track (is their really a junkyard in the middle?) 7/15-17/05. I'll be there in my Black RX-8, see you guys there? How about some zoom zoom Mazda brother support!?!?!?

Count me in Tim--beer, smoking, crusin'--you know I'm easy!
Call me if you get it together--especially another CDA Lake cruise--that was the ****.
Sounds like you won't be making the Wenatchee Rotary Festival this year?
I'm all registered even though my name does not appear on the attendee list for some damn reason.
Hoping to meet new friends and enthusiasts............

I'll have to miss the Wenatchee meet. I had other things come up at the same time. As far as a meet here in Spokane I was thinking that this weekend sounded like a good time for me. Anyone want to meet up on Saturday night? Maybe pizza and beer or we could meet at the Elk? around 8 pm? Let me know if you can make it.

Above Spokane

Packing up our house as I speak, will be about an hour and fifteen above Spokane, near the boarder. Metaline Falls, Pend Oreille. But I am very ready to do a meet some where and hear what the highlights of the area are. Only thing I can see that will sorta suck is 55 to 60 instead of the 75 or 80 mph were used to here on the open Nevada roads. But..... corners, yes corners lots of them. We haven't seen a corner on a road around here for a while . Waiting for my Autobahn side fender vents to come in before we move so I put them and my S.S. strakes on before we hit the road. (Even if it is on a trailer.) Will be reporting to work on the 2nd of May, coming thru Spokane on the 28th or 29th. If you see a trailered black, honk, cause I will stop for a fellow 8.

I'll have the money to get the windows tinted in a month or so...

But the beers sound good. P/M me and lets get it going.

As for North of Spokane... well I hear that the deer are easier to shoot... :D

A good radar detector like the V1 or the Escort 8500 will help with that. Seems the police here are very fond of Ka band and some like K. Not too many Laser and only a few V-2 systems. That trip usually turns into a 80+ mph drive for me when I've made (although I have to admit that isn't very often). Welcome to the area either way.

I haven't had a radar detector for ever, good call I will have to invest. Here when you see a car miles away you just slow a bit, they are ok here usually if you stay under 80. I dont think they will be that nice in Wash.

Yes the roads here (open Nevada) seem to becon for speed. The trip to work at three o'clock in the morning often brings 110 to 130 blasts when a fellow worker with his loud pick-up tries to show off, and I test his speed limiter. Guess that fun will definately be over . As for the deer in north Washington, I seen at least eight on the road or just about to cross in the one short day we were there. Time for a cow catcher on the front of the car.

One of the next things on my mod list is window tint, look forward to taking you up on it, wndotinter .
