Discuss? Pros and cons.
I keep my cars forever so resale would not be an issue.
Opinions on reasonable price?
thanks

ha ha, i know you are looking!! any comments? the car already went through a ebay cycle where no one hit the reserve. I think the highest bid was $4100. Now they will do the cycle where they have the buy it now price posted, and if they dont get $, they will cycle it to a no reserve auction. It will cost a bit under $1K to get it to the NW. There is another 40th on ebay with the same miles and an AT for $22K....
maybe i should find a local car with the darth maul interior? (love that red!!)

Your ok with having no warranty on an 2008?
Will you have any issues getting it insured and registered? If this is going to be a non registered track toy then getting a salvaged titled car might be a good deal.

The deal doesn't seem too spectacular. Lately 2005 and 2006 models in excellent condition have sold for similar prices. I know this is an 08 anniversary edition with only 7,000 miles, but with the amount of damage it has it just doesn't seem like a great deal, especially with the shipping. How important is anniversary edition to you? Just my 2 cents.
the no warranty bites, and $10.9 is too high for sure. NADA drops a car 50% for salvage title, so the roughly $11K should be what it would be worth fixed. My estimate is about $5K to repair the damage, so if you could pick it up for 6K is should be OK.
I guess the loss of warranty could end up being a big deal.
I have 2 20th anniversary fc's, so the 40th anniversary is a +, but not one that brings a lot of monetary value. The fact that there are still new ones at dealers makes it pretty obvious that they are not a hot commodity.
oh well. guess i'll keep looking for a used one in great condition. who needs another project?

There are LOTS of 8's for 12-15k that are clean, so 10.9 is WAY high.
