The RPF1 Club...

So the RPF1 is stopping production this year, being replaced by the PF01 (Which doesn't come in 17x9 ). We should commemorate it with a better set of pics of the RPF1 club. Also, Brad just pointed out in another thread that he's missing from my sig, but Shaun is missing too.

Mike, Brad, Shaun: We should meet up and take pics With Chris gone and Shaun on 17x9's, I'll no longer be out numbered! It'll now be an even split between 17's and 18's. Anyone else lurking in the backgrounds in the region with RPF1's?

Sure. I'll be around tomorrow am or next weekend. Sunday we're going up skiing. My car is pretty damn dirty right now though...

Next weekend. I should have my Teins than. I am kind of SOL on driving with the nasty metal on metal sound coming from my coilovers.

I'll actually be back in town next weekend. I'll have to throw my RPF1's back on as they're off for the winter. We'll figure it out, hopefully Mike won't be in China.

And sure enough... Mike's in China. I guess we'll just play it by ear and figure out a later date. Tire Rack hasn't gone on close out yet and the replacement wheels, the PF01's, ship in March so we still have time

Haha, will do Chris.

The PF01's are supposed to be lighter and stronger than RPF1's and they have little ridges on the inside (like McLaren's wheels that they use on their F1 cars, supposedly) to hold the tire better... but yah, they cost more and aren't even available until March.

Your wheels look awesome, we just all happened to buy a different rim. It's really, really hard to get a wheel as strong and light as the RPF1 for a decent price which is why so many people end up on it. If I had unlimited money, I'd be on Volk CE28N's:

On another note, those new PF01 don't look half-bad. Will they have the same dimensions as the RPF1? 18x9.5 +45? If so, I could see them being pretty popular as some members here find the RPF1's "played-out".

any idea if the new PF01's will come in gold? I was thinking of picking up Gold RPF1's for track use this summer but if the price isnt to much for the PF01's then maybe that would be a better option.

Yo! The suspension is great and the wheels are choice. It feels so much more stable and there is a appreciable difference in handling and acceleration (those old wheels were ******* heavy).

I was actually at Aoki the other night. Ran into Shin.

Haha, there isn't actually a club, but there were 4 of us who bought RPF1's in like a 6 month period (Brad is missing from my sig, but he has black 18x9.5's) and then just recently Butter's and Shaun got them... so we just have a lot of locals in the Seattle area with them.
