possibly moving to Seattle
possibly moving to Seattle
Hi:
I'm currently located in Chicago but we are looking at possibly relocating my compnay to the Seattle area to the Redmond/Bellevue area.
Looking at communities around, of course Redmond is good but I really keep keying on Woodinville - seems beautiful, is an easy commute into the Redmond area, etc.- if anyone could shed some light on living in that community with kids and all (one almost high school age, the other two are foing into 6th grade (yes, twins), I would appreciate it.
Thanks - PM me if you'd rather not "air" it.

Hey Stew,
Welcome in advance! Woodinville is a nice area. I have siblings all around it - Kirkland to the south, Mill Creek to the north, and Duvall to the east. In relation to Redmond, Woodinville is closer. Mill Creek and Woodinville are probably the nicest areas, with the newest developments. I don't have the specifics on schools in the area though, but here's a list of the schools around in that area....

My brother in Kirkland and my 2 sisters in Duvall don't have kids, but my sister in Mill Creek has a son who's 4, so he'll be going to schools there and they seem happy being in that area. We all grew up in Bellevue, and I live just south of there in Renton.
Good luck! If you have any more questions, give a shout or a PM.
BTW, I was in your neighborhood last week at a conference in downtown Chicago!

Woodinville is very nice, although it may be a little more pricey than some other areas around (although less than Redmond/Bellevue). It is Northshore school district which is very highly rated. If you find something in your price range in Woodinville then I don't think you can go wrong, especially if you will be working in Redmond. I grew up in Bothell, but my next door neighbors address was Woodinville. I live about 7 miles from there now. If you have more questions feel free to ask.
