LOL
I havent heard of any outsourcing from there since. If anything some motors from there would go to the people who do the builds for the race series.
You can tell where the motor comes from by the tag on the motor . but you have to seee it before they take it off to put it in your car. Of course you could ask- they have to tell you just like they have to tell you when they do anything to your car.
I suspect my car is now finished. Monday I caught it before they closed shop and it was fully painted and was just needing to go for some buffing/polishing. Cant wait to finally have something to drive.
I have so many ideas/routes I want to take but not sure what I will want to do.

thats old history. Mazda opened its own rebuild facility in NC a few years ago. One of the forum members works there.

Body shop called and car is basically done. Finishing polish and cleaning interior. Now to fight them for not trying to Jew me on money back. Pending that and other things will direct what I do next.
So I know christmas time is bad weather time but hopefully we can have a meet around then since I'll be back visiting
I'm bored at a city council meeting since I got harassed by a police officer the other day. So I'm throwing this out

I am so busy at work it is not even funny.
550 miles on the new motor and so far so good. 220 miles on the last tank. Really looking forward to reaching 1k and going for a spirited drive.

220 miles, not bad.
I finally broke my 17.5 mpg all time record on my last trip to ORP! 19.2 going (warm day, ac on, windows up), and 20.2 MPG on the way back (cooler day, no ac, maybe averaged ~5mph less)! Yea for me!
Maybe I'll beat that this month if I drive there again.

The previous tank I got 237 but some of that was highway
I would expect 290+ all highway. Looking forward to getting tuned with the BHR ignition system to see if MPG goes up even more. Did you see the MM dyno day thread?
