That's what I figured. Kent at work said his little brother has one, and loves it.

Just needs to fit under the front lip.....sometimes you need to stick the tires on blocks if it won't fit without them...

78 MPG?

I remember reading some really old Popular Mechanics about a guy that invented a 100 MPG car in the 70's. Remember that?

I found a fun video to watch. The guy has a slow start, but ends up catching and passing the people that passed him. I especially like it when the instructor gives him the slow down and calm down a bit hand signal at the section of 5:15.

Stock suspension FTL! Sounds like he's running out of 4th on that long uphill straight... kinda nuts, that puts him at around 120mph uphill? I love seeing him FLY by that Supra around 6:40.

Man, it feels sooo good to be back on reasonable tires again. Coming back from Bremerton Sunday, I took the I-5 to 405 North interchange down by Southcenter at 65 in cruise control and 6th gear. I really wouldn't have been comfortable doing that on the All Seasons Instead I think I scared the **** out of a minivan that was taking the turn at 30 in the other lane

^ haha Glad you're back on good tires. How are they? Have you broken them in?

4th will get you 131-132 at the limit. Yea he's driving pretty fast. That's a hard course (at least on the video games haha) I agree with the Supra pass comment too.

I love when people think the 8s are slow.

Haha, just sent you a PM on them actually. Looking back on it, I'm really glad I did that event on the All Seasons. I think the experience has left me with a much better sense of what's going on with my tires. I *THINK* I can notice the difference in sidewall stiffness between the 255's and my old 245's but it's minor at best and might even be my fat *** moving in the seat more . There seems to be a little bit of... squirm? I'm thinking it's because the tread blocks are still so big, being a new tire with a very high wear rating and all The grip is all there though and the tires break away very predictably and progressively. It's so much easier to ride the line of over/understeer in a turn-around on these than it was on the All Seasons

In general, sounded like he has a CAI and was shifting around 8-8.5k which is the "right" place to shift on a track according to Eric Meyer. The only time it's worth revving past that is if there isn't room to shift (finishing straight at an AutoX, closing in on a braking zone on a track etc.). His shifting was very smooth (seems like he's on stock suspension but you can't tell when he shifts), that's one of the biggest things I'm going to try and work on this season, getting my shifts to 2nd (and occasionally 3rd ) as smooth as possible on an AutoX.

My first 2 runs on Sunday I was still upsetting the car a bit when I shifted to 2nd... but I think I was a lot better for my 3rd.

I upset my car into second too on the autox track. I didn't like a single shift on the last practice day.

Anyone have experience with Hankook Ventus v12 evo k110? Reviews seem to be very positive. Quiet and great dry/wet grip. I believe I have seen then as low as $160ish per as well.

I'm going to plan an engine install in May maybe. If I am ready by the end of April, then Saturday May 1st will be my install date. This is not set in stone, as I still need to work some deals out.

Dan - keep that day open!! LOL

Just saw a Top Gear episode where their challenge was a road rally. Does anyone know if there are any road rallies in our region. This actualy seems like it would be a lot of fun!

Sure. There's the Targa BC coming up.

Also There is a Friday night rally club where the challenge is all about reading the cryptic directions to try and figure out the actual route.
