it was fast!
all is well so far, no leaks, no fires, and no driving over 4k rpm
i've got some break in miles to put on it like nemesis is doing but i drive more than him so maybe i'll be done first.
they also showed me the old motor and said i'd eventually get a new one even without low compression because it was leaking coolant into the intake manifold? guess it would have eventually overheated. so it's definitely a good thing it got replaced now.
the old fuel line is in my front seat so i know the new one is installed.

Hey guys! Finally made it to Billings, MT
What an awesome drive. Lots of classic rock tunes mixed in with some rap and the open road with incredible scenery! Really wish I had the 8 though. Nothing against the wife's CR-V but you know it is slow when a Prius overtakes you on the highway
The speed limit is 75 and seemed like the majority was doing 85-95. I passed a cop doing 80 and he did not even blink. Lots of nice long curvy roads though the mountains would have been so much fun. I did this drive about 10 years go with my turbo 300zx and it was a blast!

I love it, but this time I want my buddy to come with me. Last summer, I cut down and went to see my brother in OK before continuing back up.

I average around 150 per week throughout the year. If Mazda approves the new motor then I imagine I will log more miles than normal to get through the break in quickly.

Update on my engine.
New PCM installed and still having misfires. I think there were a few errors reported as well. They are going to run a compression check and let me know the results tomorrow.

OK so I will be in Seattle around the 25th of this month. And as an added bonus Charles R. Hill will be with me on the 29th. We shall be in Seattle till the 5th/6th of July. I want to see some real fireworks! This is it. We are coming to the Pacific Northwest!

Nice Easy!
Update on the engine:
Mazda USA is having them decarb the engine and then do a hot compression check. Unfortunately these tasks will be performed Monday so it will be a few more days before I know what is going on.
