I need an address of this Starbucks. I'm coming down from Seattle, so if you could give me a ring (206-227-7291) I'd appreciate it. I'll be hitting the road, very, very early tomorrow morning.

Grand & Broadway
1621 NE Grand Avenue
Portland, Oregon 97232
I have nominated this location because there is a parking lot, coffee, a gas station or two nearby and access to I-5 and I-84.

Sunday PDX Drive!!! :D :D :D
To my knowledge, there have been no changes to the plans so far. They are as follows:
"On Sunday, May 16, 2004, at 10:00 AM, let's meet at the Starbucks located here:
Grand & Broadway
1621 NE Grand Avenue
Portland, Oregon 97232
...we should be able to get at least 10 cars parked there - and more around the corner if need be. (Wouldn't that be great?!)
We can have coffee (or what ever spins your rotary), chat for a while and leave around 11:00am. For those who want to make it but can't be at Starbucks at 10:00AM (Zoom44 et. al.,) why not meet us at the Multnomah Falls parking lot around 11:30? Perhaps we should go to Crown Point on the way back?
As to time of return, I'd like to leave that up to the vibe 'o the moment. ..."
I drive a Black GT with a (rear-only!) plate that reads "CCJ". I can be reached at 503.740.6713.
See you later today!!!

Hi Guys
I am so sorry I could not make it. I was planning on showing up, then I was called to work on an emergency. I called Chris around 12:00, hoping I could join in, later, but again with my bad luck today, my cell batteries went out, and I could not recieve any calls. I guess it was never meant to be.
Chris seemed like a really nice guy, I wish I had the chance to meet you. Hopefully we can do this again soon, and you can count me in. I am glad you had fun, and wish I have been with you. Pictures please.

We had a blast!
Thanks to all who made it! The weather was great and the twisties along the old highway were superb! I look forward to our next meeting.
I am posting some pictures below (the photo I took with the other 8's behind me didn't come out well - at all. Sorry.)

Thanks for the pics Chris. I had a good time. It's to bad the pic you took through the sun roof behind didn't turn out.
We will meet again I'm sure. Nice to meet all of you, and also nice to see you again Kristopher.
See ya, Monte

I had a blast too. It was a big rush for me to see all the gorgous 8s in line behind me then see them go flying by and tear up the curves. You guys are good drivers. I did some practicing today later. I would like to suggest some points of driving interest for next time: Skamania Lodge Bar for lunch or somewhere in Stevenson. That is my favorite part of the Gorge view. Alternatively a cruise through downtown and up and out Skyline is classic. Awesome view spots along the way and Skyline Tavern or Burger Drive In is out there. Could go over Germantown Road to HWY 30 and blast back into Portland. I have a friend in town May 28-30th who would like to ride along with a pack. Next time more cars would make it even more fun. Have a good week all. KP

My only suggestion: 2-way radios. We use them rather heavily up north with the 7's, and they are great. Might have prevented unintentional freeway changes. Of course, not passing the guy with nav on the interchange might have prevented it as well. Any way, I look forward to a tighter road with fewer bikes for driving faster on.

Excellent point! Cell phones are nice, but for driving caravans 2-way radios are much better. I haven't used one in about five years - and that was in Japan! Please educate me - do most 2 ways have the same range(s) of frequency? I would hate to buy one only to find out that I am the only one at the 356~489Mhz range.
