Talking Mt Baker - Saturday

I had planned to do this yesterday, but spent all day cleaning the 8. So instead, I'm gonna make a run up to Mt Baker this coming Saturday (22 May). Who's in?

I'd consider it...I'm still new to WA. About how far is that?

Damn, Chris, that sucks. Hope all turns out well.

no_pistons, if you're actually in Seattle, it's 90 miles to Bellingham, 50 miles to the mountain, and then the return.

I was thinking we ought to meet up at Marymoore park. It's less than five minutes from my apartment, I had the long drive last weekend, and head out from there.

Good Luck Chris.

yeah, I'm still planning on making the run. We'll se if anyone else shows.

I'm planning on being in the Veledrome Parking Lot at Marymoore Park, Redmond, around 10-10:30 and hitting the road no later than 11. I know that makes a late day for driving for you Chris, but if people up here are going to show, they gotta get their beauty sleep.

Hey, at least the car is okay.

It's lookin' like a solo run at this point. Oh well, any time behind the wheel is a good time.

Yahoooooooo!

That was a good bit of road. I should have made the drive a long time ago. Unfortunately the weather and absolutely terrible road surface conspired to keep me driving within reason. Once you get going up the mountain, it's almost entirely 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear twisties. Not many 3rd's, but a few. Can't wait to drive it dry, and hopefully re-paved. Didn't take any pictures, lowsy weather, no place to get the car in the same shot as the mountain. Would've been pointless.

I guess I am really late. I have been busier than hell as of late, and have not been here for a while.

Well, I know it's very late notice, but I was unable to make it. :-)

Glad there was no major damage to your car Chris. (maybe you should lay off the coffee. hehehe)\

And for the other Chris, I'm looking forward to driving with you again this summer.

And for both Chris's, I kid you not, that road I was telling you about going over the mountain from Beaverton to Newberg is awesome. Maybe some day when we get together next, we can plan that route out to my house, where that barbecque can take place. That would be awesome!

Later, Monte
