Looking for a good auto body shop in the Portland, OR area
Can anyone recommend a good shop? My front and sides should be here in the next month or so and I would like to have a body shop picked out before the parts arrive. I live in Beaverton so anything from Hillsoboro - Portland works.

J&M Body Shop on McLaughlin is really good. We have used them for all our stuff. Best thing, all their work is guaranteed for life. They'll also be really nice to your rotary. The owner of the body shop also owns a racing team the races open wheel rotaries in the Star Mazda series (same engine as in our car) and his son is one of the drivers.

I haven't. They might not be anywhere near my general area (12 miles outside Oregon City).
Recently (last Spring) I had my hood fixed at J&M, which had to be repainted, and it matches perfectly. My mom had to have her Tribute fixed after we were rearended downtown. It turned out great. The farme actually had some welding and stuff snapped on it and they repaired it. They said that when they have to straighten and align stuff they get it to with 1 (I think mm is what they use for the measurement) whereas the average for other shops is something like 3-4 (of whatever that measurement is), which is industry standard.
I do know for sure that Car Star sucks, especially if anything needs to be painted. My friend's sister had to have some panels replaced and painted on her car and when she picked it up (a one-month-old car) the new panels were several shades off and totally obvious that they didn't match. They are to be avoided.

I just got my car back friday from Aloha Auto body right off tv hwy across from the mcdonalds in Aloha. My car was backed into while I was at a restaurant and it was a hit and run. My insurance works with that shop a lot and an old roommate of mine also took his truck there for work. I couldn't be more happy with the work they did. The replaced and repainted the bumper and tail light and the paint matched perfectly and my car was very clean when I got it back 2.5 days after dropping it off. Since you're from beaverton this seems like it'd be pretty close to ya...
