A little Scared

I am a little nervous because I am getting some mods to my car. I am putting in a Borla Exhaust, a K & N Typhoon, and getting the car lowered a bit with some Eibach springs. I am also having one of the cats removed and getting the windows tinted. Has anyone had any bad experiences with any of these? Please let me know. I will also tell everyone how happy I am with the shop doing the work when I am done.

Why are you removing one of the cats? And are you going to atleast put a resonator in? Good luck with smog... I would recommend a high flow/temp cat instead of a mid pipe anywhere that you need to smog the car. Actually I would recommend it anywhere since I like the enviroment. As an FYI the shop doing the work could be facing a $10k fine and you a $2k fine if caught removing the cat. Other than that the mods sound good. I would suggest getting Canzoomers' stage I ECU upgrade over a mid pipe. You will pick up at least 40 hp for $600 rather than 5 hp for whatever your paying. Just my $.02.

There have been problems reported by several forum members in relation to the typhoon intake. most have to do with disturbing the airflow over the MAF. either screens have not been re-installed correctly or the maf has been re-intsalled in a location it doesn't like. rough idle has been the most prevalent problem reported. search for typhoon you will find several threads about this

I am getting my borla, eibach springs, tinting, and balancing for 1400.00 this includes labor. I am the the guinea pig for 8's at the shop, I will let you know how it goes and I will hook you up with them if they do a good job. I am going to be their poster child so I got a little better discount. I am totally excited, IM me and I will let you know how it goes.

Canzoomers' Stage I ECU upgrade is a piggyback computer upgrade for your car. It safely leans out the fuel mixture to create a hotter and more explosive spark ie., better fuel economy and hp/torque. You can find his website in the vendors forum section. There is plenty of info there but he does stick behind his product and is respected on the forum. I will be adding this to my car.

Thanks I am going to do some homework on that canzoomer thing. Once my wife calms down from the money I just dropped on the car I am going back for seconds....
