Went to Maz/Toy today to pick up a new shifter since mine fell apart while driving. There was a red 8 there that was destroyed, but the shifter was still fine and to my suprise it was an Axial Flow short shifter. I also noticed it had a Racing Beat Revi intake.

Do you know who's car that was? I believe they got the car last summer. I thought they might appreciate having their shift **** back, so I grabbed that too.

 

Maz/Toy? Is it at a 'you pull it' type place? I be motivated to go see what that intake would cost.

I've never heard of his place. I want an rx8 seat that matches mine so I can turn it into an office chair!

 

It looked like there was supposed to be a blue aluminum ring that was affixed to the back of the intake box but it was no longer attached. The intake pipe and filter were floating freely in the box. I would have investigated more, but I already have the RE-Amemiya intake, no need for a second one.

Maz/Toy isn't really a you pull it, they do most of that themselves and you're supposed to just ask for the part at the counter. However they will go out into the yard with you for other parts and bits that they don't normally put in their warehouse. The shifter was a prime example, they leave the shifter tower in the cars because the transmissions don't fit on the shelves with them. Lucky me.

 

I would have loved to pick up that shifter.
