Sun, 24 Jun 2007 Return to the String of Pearls
As usual, we're meeting at 10am, and leaving at 11am.

I know the 1st anniversary is the Paper anniversary, but I couldn't think up a good sounding name for the drive that included paper.
For June we're returning to the drive that started it all. The String of Pearls, aka Whidbey Island. It's hard to believe we've been at this for a year (granted, under another guise to start), but we have.
Special Thanks to 05TiGr8Lady for the pre-lunch portion of the drive. This was a great way to get onto the island, so mess with it.

Hello all, I am a newby and will make this drive, been trying since march but with a three year old it seems everytime I try it doesnt work out. I have signed up on the Winding road web site what do I need to bring.
I was looking at the list and I guest some one has to bring Hot dog or Hamburgers and the breed, or some thing to eat, or we can make a pitt stop some were!!! I am bringing drinks and cups and my my cooler and I will get the ice at the gas station at the meeting place!!!
food
I will bring the burgers and dogs, with the dogs would we rather some brawts or some other type of dog let me know. Im going to go to the meat market on saturday the 23rd, so if you want something differant let me know by friday.
I'll try to make this one. It's my and Robbie's two-year anniversary on Saturday, but he's going to be out of the country, so I might as well find some way to amuse myself that weekend. LOL
It just depends on how my arm is doing. It's looking like I may be needing another surgery again, this time at the wrist level for the same nerve problem. Grrrr!!!!!!!!!

Cool. If you do come, BG, I'd suggest making at least part of the trip Saturday, our meeting spot is about an hour north of me, so driving from home would put you on the road around 6.
Well, it's always nice to have choice. It would be great if one of you could bring dogs and the other burgers. And since Shaun posted about dogs at TWR first, I think he's got dibs on that.

Or I could possibly just drive up for the meal.

1 week to go. The Route Flip Charts are almost ready to go to press, so if you want one, please register sooner rather than later. I used Kinko's in April, but that was pricey, so I really need to use a proper printing press this time around, which means lead time. I'll have a couple extra copies.
Of course, whether you register or not, you're welcome to come. Just remember, once the registered drivers get their Route Books, it's first come first served.

10 more years and she'll be gone. Geesh - it goes by fast!
