How old or what year vehicle to bypass Oregon's emissions?
Looking into buying a 240z or a 510 and wondering if Oregon uses a 25 yr or older or a specific year for vehicles that do not need to pass emissions?
Depends on where you live.

Looks like no issues for me based on the year of the cars I'm interested in buying.

No emissions test for older vehicles
Vehicles that are 1974 or older in the Portland area do not need to have an emissions test. Contact DMV to renew your vehicle registration.
Vehicles that are 21 years or older in the Medford area do not need to have an emissions test. Contact DMV to renew your vehicle registration.
Even though an emissions test is not required you may still take a free voluntary emissions test at any of the stations.
The Portland Metro area experiences more severe air quality problems and denser population than the Medford area so the cut off for vehicle testing is 1975 while Rogue Valley has a rolling 20 year rule.
