A good tuning shop?

Hey guys,

I am looking to get new wheels and possibly some TEIN suspension bits soon. I don't have the tools nor the space to do the swap at my own place. Does anyone know of a good shop I can take my 8 to and have this work done?

well we can help you with both if you want. i mean you should be able to put wheels on but if not i can do that for you.

if you really want a shop you'll have to ask someone else as i've been doing all the work at home/office.

That's very generous of you. If you are willing to help me out, I would love to learn the process from you. And of course, beers and dinner on me!

I've removed/replaced wheels before, but my condo living situation is kinda tough for car work. The suspension stuff is new for me. Again, help would be awesome.

I'll keep you in mind and hit you up when I get my stuff.

Gotcha gotcha....

Well, I haven't bought my gear yet. Though I have my eye on a nice set of RPF1's, Tokico D-Spec shocks, and Tein S-Tech springs for a decent deal. However, I'd like to sell my old wheels first. If you know of anyone who is looking for a set of 18's point them in this direction:

you're going to need to get the specs off those wheels before anyone will be interested..

also, i think someone local might be parting with their koni/s-tech setup if you're ok with used.. if not, you'll be perfect with tokicos and s-techs. what are the rpf1s going for?

Show up to Dick's if we do it next week, and I bet you can sweet talk Brad into doing it for you for the price of a chocolate shake and some more Dick's. You'll have to start coming to meets though

Brad put my Coilovers on at his house in just over a hour (then we spent another hour and a half getting the heights right). With springs and shocks, it won't take more than 2hrs with taking the springs on and off adding more time than just throwing the coilovers in.

*sigh* You're probably right about that. Is there a quick way for me to tell without having to remove the wheel?

I also sent you a PM.

you could measure the width but offset might be hard.. i dunno how to figure it out. it takes like a minute to take it off. you can even use the oem jack at your condo for it.

I really wish I was still state side. I would offer up the lifts on Ft. Lewis again for a day once a month...but sadly im in Iraq right now. Everyone here is very willing and helpful. Pizza and beer go a long ways! Treat them right and you'll have friends for life!

When you decide to take the dive let me know. If you run spring/shock combo we can have it on in a few hours no problem.

Done it so many times I can do it in my sleep.

So I've pulled the trigger on a set of RPF1's 18x9.5. Wrapped in Goodyear F1 GS-D3 275/35/18. Also got some suspension bits: Tokico D-Spec adjustables and Tein S-Tech springs. Should be here by the end of the month...

Who wants to lend a brother a hand with the install? Dinner and beers!

I so wish I was back at Lewis to lend a hand....good deal and you will enjoy every minute of the install.

Just keep Brad away from your Dick's when you make it over there on of these nights.

Yeah that was a great install day. Was a little long due to the lack of certain tools I wish we had. That made me with I had a lift though.

We should all just party at Brad's If Mike's work is available, maybe we can just turn it into an install day? I've got my bars and end links to put in (though Brad may do the fronts tomorrow?) and I'm seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on some seats instead of going to Australia (it's SO freaking expensive around Christmas... almost 2x the price of a normal time of year).

It's amazing that thread hasn't been deleted yet

But yah, come to Dick's. Mike, you too! We should setup another install day in your warehouse, I've got bars and maybe brake pads to do... maybe we can break out the scales and do the corner weighting too.
