A good mechanic in Seattle?
I was thinking about getting the Racing Beat suspension package but do not want to install it myself. Although my dealer has been ok in doing maintanence on the car, I'm not sure they will be too thrilled about doing aftermarket mods.
Other options might be:
- Speedware Motorsports in Redmond
- Hayes Rotary in Redmond
Can anyone recommend a good one?

I wouldn't recommend Speedware. I've heard a lot of recent complaints about their work as well as very expensive pricing.
We have our work done for our race cars at Fordahl Motorsports in Bellevue (behind Park Place Rentals). We race with them - they typically work on Porsches, but are very competent and have worked on many of our cars (which the vast majority have been non-Porsche). Go in, talk to either Trever or the owner (Greg Fordahl) and let them know Annie & Ron sent you. **NOTE: they are busy, and it can sometimes take a bit to get an appointment, so if you're interested, ya gotta call ahead.

Thanks
Thanks Annie. I had heard good things about Fordahl before. That's the first negative I have heard of Speedware though.

If you want some first hand experiences regarding Speedware, send a PM to Steve (PedalFaster) - he has some good input. My personal experiences have been both good & bad with them - they found a hard-to-find seat for me that other shops couldn't, but also did a less than adequate job on an exhaust install/weld on a Boxster S we owned.
Every shop will have horror stories, but since I actually *know* the folks at Fordahls, and have had them do amazing work for us, I trust them the most.

I recommend Xtreme Auto Salon in Federal Way, a little bit of a drive from Issaquah but the only shop I would take my car to when I lived in Washington. They do a lot of suspension installs and should have no problem with the Racing Beat set. I had a lot of serious work done by them on 3 different cars and never had a problem, they were always fair, took care of things quickly, and were well priced. For Rotary engine type work the only place I would go to is Mark at Mt. Peak Automotive, which is in Enumclaw. For dyno tuning the only place I would go is myself, or Ralph at Ground Zero in Portland.
I can't remember what the guys name is but I think its the same person Nemesis 8 is referring to for his work in Olympia, he is another person I would probably trust with my car as he has a good reputation among many people I am well acquainted with in Washington but I never had any work done by him.
I would never trust my car to Hayes Rotary after hearing from several different people about problems with them.
IF you want addresses or phones just post a reply or send me a PM and I will get them for you.

There's also Jerry's Little Car shop in Kent. He really knows his rotary engines and I have had good experiences with the work he's done on my RX-7.
