Nah, no loaner. I'm tempted to try and make it out for the ground time anyway and see if anyone will let me ride along in the back. I'll call them tomorrow when I get home from work. Didn't get home from work until 11 tonight since I took off part of the afternoon to get the damage appraised. I decided against the MS bumper. I wavered on it a while, but in the end I think I'm going to leave it with the stock bumper. I think it looks better on the lighter colored cars like yours than it does on black.

I concur.

Only a few more days folks!

How much experience does everybody have? I know it's a "novice" thing but i guess there are varying degrees of being a novice. Other than some high-speed twisties i'm a true noob.

I just checked the registration list and it looks like it's just me and you going Dondo.

Anijo is Nick right? He's out of commission as far as i know but I'm pretty sure he's still registered.

My plan is to still show up for the ground course and hopefully spend a little time in someone's back seat while they have an instructor In return they can have my instructor time

If I crash in a big open field I've got more problems than the school can fix Thanks a lot for the offer, Michelle said that was an option as well. Now the only trick is getting up early enough for the 6am ferry

I hadn't driven the car all week, but I went to pick up some dinner last night and immediately noticed the right headlight is pointed significantly down. I turned on some flood lights and took a closer look at the damage on that corner and it looks like that body panel is bent downward and the rub on the right wheel is because of the housing for the right side oil cooler. Still no word from the body shop about getting the parts in... I'll call them today to find out what's up. I'll have to figure out how I'm getting there, I was thinking about driving but given that the rub on the right isn't just plastic but is just a couple layers away from the oil cooler, I may need to reconsider.

Also on the MS thing: The price gap between a stock bumper and a MS one is like $700. Geico is able to get the stock one for $205

So how was the class? I realized on Wednesday, or rather my wife told me. . . We were already committed to attending a wedding on Sunday, dammit!! I hope the rain didn't spoil the fun!

The rain made it cheaper (less tire wear ) also added to the entertainment value with the number of spins (well, except for Mike/Dondo's spin, that wasn't cool. What ever happened to that engine code anyway?)

Overall it was very valuable though, and I definitely want to go as much as possible. My car went into the shop finally this morning. Hopefully this doesn't take too long!

it's all good. it was just the e shaft sensor and shaun helped me fix it with some pushes of the brake pedal to reset it. my bigger problem is that two spark plugs were fouled and i failed to get the bhr ignition installed so i'll have to give it another go next week. other than that we're good to go now.
