Hi All,

I noticed Bremerton Sports Car Club has quiet a few autocross days at Bremerton Motorsports Park. I really want to attend the kick off event which is the Novice Autocross School on March 1st. This would be my first autocross day so i figure it'd be a could introduction to the sport.

Has anyone been to one of these novice schools or any of BSCC's events before? I haven't seen much talk about these events in the NW forum which surprised me.

I'll go with you to this one :P I've heard good things about it through people at work but no direct experience I'm afraid.

My neighbor and his younger brother go there all the time, the key is to go early, get in the morning time and stay there for the afternoon time. This way you get plenty of runs to get used to it and the only downside is that the Ferry doesnt run early enough to get you there for the morning time runs. You'ld have to either live over there or drive down across the Tacoma Narrows.

But I've heard great things about them as well.

I'll be there with another guy driving an S2000 and maybe another with a Cayman S. Should be fun to get a small crowd.

 

Cool! Do you guys want to meet up somewhere for breakfast before? If we're all trying for the morning run I suspect we'll all be on the same ferry (unless you're coming up through Tacoma?).

That should put you in at 7am... a bit early but definitely in time for the morning runs, right?

 

I will be coming from South of Tacoma, S2000 man will be coming from Seattle. Breakfast would make it a pretty early morning but i'm not opposed to it. Know any places near by? I'm not familiar with that area at all.

Sweet! I wish they'd sent me mail to say I'd been confirmed :p I was going to pay online, guess I'll pay there. Man, that's going to be a good week. Sunday Feb. 22nd: TWR drive, Sunday March 1st: Autox school!

 

I just joined (put on waiting list of course). I live 5 min from the motorpark and I didn't know about this until today lol.

 

The description says 50 people will be let in. My guess is someone has to approve each one case by case so you get wait listed until they do.

 

got an email confirming everything and asking for payment so i'm all set now.

 

Well, S2000 man did not make it on the list in time and Cayman S man had to leave town that weekend. At least we have five RX-8's on the list, which might i add, is the highest turn out of any make/model there -- way to represent.
